In the city, the Bar Association is convening at this hour, a special meeting. It is considering an unprecedented resolution in respect of an appointment to the Court of Appeal. There is a proposal to elevate Supreme Court Judge Samuel Awich once his current contract expires in mid-May. The Bar will take a position by vote on the strongly-worded resolution, which we will have an update about in Friday’s newscast.
