Labour Commissioner mediating B.E.L. and Union
The Belize Electricity Workers Union (B.E.W.U.) has been at odds with the Belize Electricity Limited (B.E.L.) and both groups have exhausted the Collective Bargaining Agreement. It appeared that rolling blackouts and strikes are on the horizon. Sensing that options have been decimated by the tension, B.E.L. had written to Labour Commissioner, Ivan Williams for intervention. The Commissioner has called a meeting with representatives of B.E.L. and B.E.W.U. this afternoon at one thirty. Amongst the discussion topics were the union’s six points of action they have demanded from B.E.L.’s Management. B.E.L. maintained through its press release that B.E.W.U. has not presented their concerns directly to the Company. We’ve been unable to reach the union representatives. However, we do expect to have the results of that meeting for tomorrow’s newscast.

That guy wearing the funny hat should be kicked out of the meeting. It is disrespectful to be wearing a funny hat to an important meeting.
What he thinks he is going to the beach. His woman must have told him he look good with the funny hat on.
Bet he sleeps with his funny hat on. Dumb @$$ bushy.
