Police and brother get bail for stolen vehicle

Marvin Wade

A policeman, his brother and friend were all granted bail today after being remanded last week in connection with a stolen government vehicle. The Toyota Hilux was taken by a brazen thief who was caught on camera as he walked gingerly into the Central Health Region Compound on May eighth and drove off in truck. Police later recovered the stolen vehicle in a sting operation in Sandhill and twenty-three year old Police Constable, Marvin Wade, his brother thirty-two year old Jason Wade, and their friend twenty-four year old Herwin Godoy were all arrested in the same area. All three were arraigned last week for Taking a Motor Vehicle without Authority and Handling Stolen Goods. Bail was initially denied and Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer gave the prosecution a week to produce further evidence against the men.

Today, Attorney Arthur Saldivar made a submission that after a preliminary review of the disclosure in the case against the men, he believes his clients should be granted bail because the evidence is not significant. While as many as twenty-three statements were included in the disclosure, the second attorney, Brian Neal submitted that none of it links the men to the stolen vehicle. The prosecution informed the court that they had no further objections in the matter. So Senior Magistrate Frazer granted Marvin, Jason and Godoy bail of twenty-thousand dollars each, which they met this afternoon. They are due back in court on July thirtieth.

Stop spewing irrelevant garbage. How does what these three did have ANYTHING to do with the Prime Minister and the Government? Did Mr Barrow himself say “Hey guys, there’s a truck over there that I want you to steal. Please take it.” ? You and storm are the two biggest perpetrators in posting totally irrelevant comments. But I guess free speech and what not, no?
