“Snakey” and “Monkey-man” busted for Placencia burglaries
In the south, a trio of suspected burglars is in police custody tonight. The three men were nabbed by residents of thePlacenciaPeninsulaafter word went out that a well known couple had been robbed. Twenty-two year old Kendale Ramirez, aka ‘Snakey’, was today charged with Burglary while twenty two year old Ambrose Joseph, aka ‘Monkey Man’, and twenty-one year old Lionel Vasquez, aka ‘Dallas’, were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary. On Monday afternoon, three men gained access to a house in Maya beach while its owners were sitting on their beach enjoying a view of the sea. The victims had previously spotted three young men walking down the beach before heading into a neighbor’s yard to pick coconuts.
A few minutes later a tall man was spotted jumping off the veranda with a laptop computer under his arm. The husband and a neighbor unsuccessfully set chase into the bush while the other two suspects headed south along the beach. An alert went out through the local Crime Watch network and Joseph and Vasquez were apprehended by citizens a half mile away. Police, who were on patrol in the area, arrived immediately and arrested the pair while Ramirez was detained about an hour later at his home in Seine Bight. Ramirez led police to a bushy area near the scene of the crime where the laptop, an iPod and a cell phone, all belonging to the homeowners, were recovered. The Placencia Police detachment was recently strengthened with CIB, Special Branch and Tourism Police personnel while community members donated a vehicle to provide officers with greater mobility. Placencia residents are also expecting more Special Constables as well as random checkpoints along the twenty-two mile long Peninsula Road.
Three cheers for Crime Watch! Every community in the Jewel needs to form one.

Snakey, Monkey Man & Dallas…THE THREE STOOGES who got caught by the crime watch. Good job, great to see a community working together.
Next time just be quiet, and don’t bother calling anybody. Sweep the dust off the streets. Dust goes into the garbage bins.
