Teen charged for Murder of Mobile Hardware owner
A teenager has been charged for the murder of businessman, Jerminie McNab. The forty-eight year old man was gunned down inside his store, Mobile Hardware, at the corner of Curassow Street and Cemetery Road. It is believed that at least three culprits worked together to commit the murder and police were able to make a first arrest after eighteen year old Anthony Carballo Junior reportedly gave a caution statement implicating himself. Carballo was arraigned before Magistrate Sherigne Rodriguez this afternoon on charges of Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder. He has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July twelfth while the cops continue to look for two other suspects. McNab was at Mobile Hardware on the night of May seventeenth when three men stormed into the store. Reports are that one of them had an exchange of words with McNab and then opened fire on him. The businessman was shot three times to the chest from close range and died on the spot. The men then escaped with McNab’s firearm. Police say that according to eyewitness accounts, the men were unmasked during the attack.
