2 cops re-arrested in connection with robbery of Free Zone employee
Two cops have been re-arrested in connection with the robbery a free zone employee in September of 2011. Following directives from the DPP, police formally arrested twenty-seven year old Elston Rojas and twenty-nine year old Rudolph Azueta, both police officers of Corozal Town, for the crime of ‘abetment to commit robbery.’ On September tenth of last year, an armed man walked into the North American International Company at the Corozal Free Zone, and robbed Jin Mei Huang of seventy thousand dollars. Emmerson Skyers was immediately arrested following the robbery and later named Rojas and Azueta’s involvement. Skyers was later charged for robbery.

By law, police and other public officials should be required to serve a prison term DOUBLE the term prescribed for ordinary citizens. Their breach of the public trust is close to treason.
These are the Police that are supposed to protect us from crime. No wonder things are so bad.
