Shooting at the basketball court

Hours later, at around four-forty-five on Saturday morning, shots rang out once again on the South Side of Belize City, injuring nineteen year old Nigel Augustine. Augustine was on the Dog Pound Basketball Court along with Ellis Ortiz when two male persons wearing masks and dressed in full black approached them. Both men pulled out black firearms and one of them blasted a single shot in their direction hitting Augustine on the left thigh. Both men pulled the trigger but the firearms jammed and the assailants mounted their bicycles and rode away in the direction of Central American Boulevard. No motive has been determined for the shooting.
