GSU’s most wanted, Brian Brown, denied bail

Brian Brown

Thirty-five year old Brian Brown, the reputed George Street don whose residence was raided by GSU personnel on May sixteenth, remains on lockdown at the Belize Central Prison tonight after being denied bail by Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer.  Brown, who was initially charged in the Family Court on May twenty-third for drug possession, as well as possession of an unregistered firearm, applied for bail on Monday.  News Five understands that Brown requested Supreme Court bail last week but was also denied under orders that his trial was to commence on Tuesday.  Senior Magistrate Frazer told Brown that his case could not be heard as yet and that he will now have to reapply to the Supreme Court for bail.  With that he was escorted back to prison until his next court date which is set for July thirty-first.  On May sixteenth, a team of officers from the Gang Suppression Unit descended upon Brown’s property in the Fabers Road area where a sweep of his home turned up various quantities of marijuana and cocaine, drug paraphernalia as well as cash, ski masks and an unregistered bulletproof vest.  Brown, who was not at home at the time of the raid, remained on the lam until he surrendered himself to Belize City Police in the company of attorney Dickie Bradley one week later.

Three cheers for an honest magistrate!

Let’s keep our eyes on this one, and protest out loud if any judge dares to show him leniency.

He boasts of doing all kinds of damage to the Jewel’s people, and now we have him where we can make him pay his debt to the nation.

I say keep him in some small, dark corner of prison until he dies and turns to dust. A bad man is receiving justice due him.

    Hang all murderers.
