Accused cop shooter faces 6 criminal charges

Delford Sulsher

Thirty year old Delford Slusher is accused of shooting police corporal Victor Lima, during a home invasion in Hattieville on Tuesday night. In court this morning, Slusher was slapped with six charges when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer. The charges levied against him are Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm upon Corporal Lima as well as Aggravated Burglary and two counts of Unlawful Imprisonment upon twenty-one year old Shakira Smith. Reports are that he entered Smith’s house and held her and a seventeen year old minor at gunpoint, saying he was there looking for drugs. While the women were being held hostage, police were informed of the home invasion in process and Corporal Lima headed to the scene. But when the officer entered the house, Slusher allegedly shot him in the chest. Lima remains in a critical condition and is hooked up to a ventilator at the K.H.M.H. Meanwhile, Slusher has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison after bail was denied. Police say that when he was arrested on Wednesday, Slusher had two nine millimeter bullets, for which he was charged with kept ammunition without a gun license. He is due back in court on August twenty-eighth for all seven charges.

Listen for a report shortly that this guy will turn up dead somewhere or will be ‘accidentally’ shot by police in a chase or raid and it would be well deserved too. You dont go around shooting the lawmen and expect to live a long happy life. Enjoy your time left sah.

Learned that Cpl. Lima passed away early today Friday and I am mourning the dead of a honest and dedicated cop. The most remorse comes out to my heart to know that the garbage that shot
him by no means should had been around in society!!!! not after what scumbag Slusher has in his record and the crimes has done, from previous murder to drug trafficking..

The law takes a very slow to weak pase to be serve and criminals like This shooter are given lots of priviliges to err again. Justice is a rigth to all humans and those that should serve it but
dont are comiting great sin. Belize Awake, Get Up, Leaders this is for You all.
