NEMO Corozal prepared for the worse
In the north where the brunt of Ernesto is expected to be felt, NEMO dusted off the files and began preparations on Sunday. This morning the Corozal District committee members met; top on the list was the opening of shelters. Willard Levy, Coordinator for the district says that while they are expecting a lot of rain, they are ready for Ernesto.
Willard Levy, Coordinator, NEMO Corozal
“Presently we are going to activate at this moment and make the necessary arrangements. The committees have already started to roll out their plans and we are planning on what shelters to get ready; the public officers that will be manning those shelters and basically we are on the phase two advising everybody to get ready; to prepare. It is something that seems to be inevitable in the northern part of the country so whatever happens. As per the meteorological service, they have advised us that we will be having plenty rain approximately about three inches of rain and we have certain areas in Corozal that are flood prone and these are the people that that we have to advise to move to higher grounds; as a result we are going to have some shelters available for them; people who are vulnerable to these rains. As for the storm, as advised it should be somewhere a category one or thereabouts, and we need to prepare for whatever happens.”
Coming up later in the newscast, the weather report will have more details on the storm.

This is PM Barrow fault. Do you notice that there was no hurricane with PUP.
Yes areas in Corozal flood apart that they build in low grounds the drains are not clean so the water will have no where to run. I see people working for the town board cleaning the streets but they just play the fool. Our roads are a mess like never before.
Willard does not know the difference from a hole in the ground and a hole in his @$$. How can this looser run Nemo. He has the people of Corozal terrified and ordered all the stores to close so no one can buy food to feed the family. People are spending the little cash they have boarding up their shacks for a storm that will hit near Majahual, Mexico. Corozal will maybe get enough rain to fill the watertanks. Resign Levy resign.
