GSU arrests gang members

The Gang Suppression Unit also made a significant number of arrests for drug possession and trafficking.  On August fifteenth, a late afternoon raid on the premises of forty-one year old Anna Garbutt, a resident of Fern Lane in the Lake Independence Area, resulted in the arrest of six reputed members of the PIV gang.  Shortly before four o’clock last Wednesday, GSU personnel descended on Garbutt’s residence where a search yielded thirty grams of cannabis.  Present at the time of the raid were Leon Gray, Edwin Flowers, Kareem Smith, Albert Clother, Carlton Pakeman and Moses Middleton.  All six men, along with Garbutt and twenty-one year old Julia Vaccaro, were arrested and charged for possession of controlled drugs.  On August sixteenth, the group was arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court where Albert Clother pleaded guilty to the charge.  Incidentally, twenty-four year old Kareem Smith is also being sought for the Thursday night shooting of Austin Rowland which took place on Flamboyant Street, two blocks away from that residence.  Gray, Flowers and Smith, were also among a group five acquitted of the murder of twenty year old Randy Coye in October 2009.

Good job, GSU. The overwhelming majority of the people support you. Keep the gangsters on the run, and hunt them down. Gangsters like these are dangerous, so don’t take any chances if they resist when arresting them.

Wonderful work GSU. It is uplifting to see that, albet interested parties are encouraging Drug trafficing with the Decriminalization of Marijuana, the Police is still doing a good work in keeping the this drug off the streets and the crimnals who are selling it to our young generation. Way to go with the GSU. Atleast one part of the Police Department is actually working and doing something to keep ciminals away from our children. Kudos mein….
