Price of premium and regular gas going up

Butane prices went up two weeks ago and this was followed by a hike in the price of chicken which went up by as much as twelve cents per pound this week. If that hurt your pocket, hurry to the gas pump because the price of fuel will take a sharp increase on Sunday. Premium or super will see the largest increase by ninety four cents per gallon. Users of regular gasoline will also see a substantial increase of eighty eight cents.

  1. Storm says:

We have to get used to it. The default will cause our dollar to be devalued, Everything we import will cost more of our money, what costs two dollars today will cost three soon.

    Great fiscal stewardship, Mr. PM!

  2. victor says:

Storm: why don’t you ask where is the money that was borrowed during the PUP administration? This is the money that caused the current superbond dilemma. WHERE IS THAT MONEY STORM? Don’t you think that those responsible should account for it publicly, and if they cannot adequately explain its whereabouts, then they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law?

  3. Storm says:

Victor, I’m an equal opportunity critic. You’re right, PUP stole hand over fist when it ran the government. But UDP has not done any better when to comes to honesty and accountability. PM Barrow campaigned on taking care of the Superbond, he looked us in the eye just a few weeks ago and said he had budgeted the money to pay it — and POOF. That’s gone.

I guess his excuse is that he and his DPM are not normal people.

I support neither PUP nor UDP because neither one has done the nation well in a long, long time. Today we have the 5th highest rate of murders, we’ve defaulted on our national debt, we have cartels operating from one end of the nation to the other, unemployment is greater than it has been this millennium, and Guatemalan communities have crossed at least 10 miles into our territory. DO YOU SUPPORT OUR SITUATION?

My personal opinion is that lawyers make the most deceitful and incompetent leaders. We need a clean sweep, and to start over before it is too late.

  4. Dre says:

The Superbond is a culmination of both UDP and PUP debt.

  5. Belizean Pride says:

thank you victor for making that question that many try to push under the carpet and sit on top of it and trying to ignore where the default problem started and whose really to blame.

  6. cayobway says:

@ belizean pride, we the people of belize are need to take the blame, we just stood by and let those who we elected pull the wool over our eyes, if we had stood up to them in the first place this would never have happen, lets not put the blame on the PUDUP we put them there, we are responsible.

  7. Belizean Pride says:

@cayobway I partially agree with you but on the other half where I stand is that i no longer vote for the past two general election since I’ve loss the confidence in both political parties that run our country. because they keep squashing the poor, instead of helping the country they are killing our jewel with some many atrocities they do and what can we do, if I turn to pup it’s the same like the udp none of them are good.
