Gang Truce Workers may be next to be unemployed

A few weeks ago we told you how the Gang Truce was renamed “Peace in Progress,” well, we don’t know for how long that will remain in place and it seems neither does the Minister tasked with that responsibility. Today Mark King said that the cut of two hundred workers from the Southside Rejuvenation Program is only the starting point and subsequent loss of jobs is almost evitable. The Gang Truce has some two hundred and forty who are receiving wages to keep the peace, but what will happen after the impending firing? Here’s what King had to say.

“The concept of the original thought, with the Gang Truce, I think Belizeans thought that the gangs were just taking the Government for a ride and that basically, the media has ran with that far enough. I really and truly don’t like the name gang itself. I thought that we could’ve promoted peace because really and truly what we wanted is for these guys to become more peaceful to society, so that was the concept that I was about to bring with new direction to the program. If we are talking about scaling back the program, apparently it doesn’t look like we are going forward with it; does it?”

Citizens unite to keep an eye on these gangbangers, and help the police take them out of circulation whenever they step across the line of the law. Jail is where they belong, at best.
Another incompetent bafoon who is arrogant takes after his boss just imagine people how many jobs could have been created with over 4 million dollars instead of paying murderers to sleep all day and still do their business at night. Who are they kidding when they say their was a gang truce when in the past 4years we have had over 500 murders robberies over 6000 and so on. Barrow has been paying murderers to do his bidding that’s all but karma will get him also.
Those people need there jobs.they have family to take care of.
Comforting to know that the taxes of the Middle Class are no longer being used to support terrorist. Those who continue to commit violent crimes should be given the Arthur Young and Pinky treatment.
The whole idea of a truce or even working with a gang is a joke, these are outlaws and thugs. Set up a meeting and wipe them out one time. Do this every 3 months till they get the message. When the government negotiated with them it legitimized them as if they were real people and citizen, when they are not at all.

but 2 months ago Boots was giving away money to PM wife for her cancer center, shows no budjeting skills and and a lot of lets suck up to Ms PM and get on TV .. ALL GLITTER AND NO SUBSTANCE.
By having a Gang Truce the UDP Gov’t is protecting itself by using Tax Payers money, BEWARE, the dog turn around & bite the hand that FEDS THEM. Instead they should use this money to employ the HUNDREDS THAT JUST GRADUATED, even MEXICO’S PRESIDENT SAID WE do not negotiate with criminals & THERE WILL BE NO GANG TRUCE. TAKE THAT BARROW, LEARN A LITTLE WISDOM
So where are the monies for Mrs. Simpliss Barrow cancer center? I don’t see any cancer center. Aha, Aha.
Can we use the cancer center fund monies for these men called hoodlums? If these men are not happily employed, they will kill, loot and terrorize people. Aha, Aha.

Let them finish each other. Maybe then we will have peace. The problem in Belize is that anyone can be Minister eg. Boots Martinez. Instead of giving money to the gang members GOB should better equip the police.
