Questions surround death of 18 year old Security Guard in P.G.

In the south, another man was found dead but the circumstances of his death are still unclear. Punta Gorda Police are investigating the strange death of an eighteen year old security whose body was discovered in Big Falls, Toledo, on Sunday morning. Descartes Santiago Bol Junior was partying at a club on Saturday night when he got into a heated argument with a group of patrons. He reportedly left the premises en route to a relative’s house in the village where he borrowed a bicycle. That was the last time Bol was seen alive. Police later discovered his lifeless body in an area called Dump. While the circumstances surrounding his death remain questionable, police are treating the matter as a case of sudden death.

“We had a sudden death in Punta Gorda that we are investigating. The victim in this is Descartes Santiago Bol Jr. an eighteen year old security guard of VOA Road, Punta Gorda Town. He was seen lying on the pavement with abrasions to the face and chest area. Initial investigation has revealed that Santiago was seen socializing in Big Falls Village at a bar around 10:30 a.m., this is on the twenty-sixth of August and he had an exchange of words with people that were also socializing in that bar. He left about 2:30 a.m. He went to borrow a bicycle somewhere, at one of his family members in that village, and he rode off towards the Dump area. Someone was passing by when they saw the body on the ground and they notified the police. The body was transported, of course, to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. [The body] now awaits a post mortem [examination] and we are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.”
As clarification, Bol was in an altercation at ten-thirty on the night of August twenty-sixth and not the morning as Inspector Yearwood stated.
“Sudden death” can easily still be homicide. It’s rare for an 18 year old to due suddenly of “natural causes,” though.
I hope there is a competent post mortem, including checking his blood for drugs that could kill him, especially if combined with alcohol. And I hope there is a competent police questioning of all witnesses from the bar until his body was found. Then let the chips fall where they may.
yea “sudden death” does really sound outta context. maybe since its a special constable in the altercation involved, i hope this is not the start of the cover up. smh
I hope and pray that the perps are brought to justice and that this case be given special attention because of the involvement of a constable. Police should held at a higher level when it comes to accountabilty.
They killed that child and we should not stand by and let another murder go unsolved!! Crime in Belize is exceptionally high for such a small country. We as a people need to do something about it and quit tolerating BS for people in charge!
Yeah so now they sayin its a hit and run, how can that be when there was no blood on the scene and d body was well placed…. anybody could ve common sense to see the lee bwai was dumped there and hopefully was hit by an on coming vehicle in d dark… the bike was untouched so def cant be a traffic accident.. idiots talking and not idiots listening!!
As rumors has it, the kid was at a birthday party in Big Falls socializing. He then moved on to a bar owned by a chancy special constable in the village. Yes he was acting disorderly and was hand cuff by the special constable and place behind the bar to relax. Where he went from there is every body question.
However, when the body was found; there were no blood stains on the pavement. It was very obvious by PG police that the body was placed at the location. The corpse was already stiff. It is rumored that its the same special constables that did this to the gentleman. Regardless of the behavior of the young kid, they had no right to acted in that matter. Its only a matter of time, if they continue to take advantage of people in the community.
