Driven to murder; ex drives over baby daddy and his girlfriend

An Atlantic bank employee is in police custody tonight. She is being detained for killing twenty-nine year old Lyndon Morrison, the father of her child. Calaney Flowers is likely to be charged with Morrison’s murder. She allegedly followed him and his girlfriend, Sochyl Sosa on Tuesday night and drove her car into them in the area of Central Assembly of God Church on Freetown Road. Both Morrison and Sosa were flung from their motorbike. It turned fatal for him. Duane Moody reports.

“I didn’t notice if the car was coming fast either, but it just happen like a lightning—sudden thing and I could not expect that. And when the incident happened, the vehicle just turned right around the lane and gone right back towards the roundabout by the flags and disappeared.”

The oil and blood stains and debris on Freetown Road near its junction with St Thomas Street are all that is left of a traffic accident that turned tragic just after ten on Tuesday night.
Twenty-nine year old Lyndon Morrison, a flight dispatcher of Maya Island Air and his girlfriend, Sochyl Sosa, were riding on his red ninja bike approaching Central Assembly of God Church when they were hit from behind by a red Saturn car. 
The impact flung the two high in the air and then to the pavement—Sosa landed approximately one hundred feet away. An eyewitness says he ran to their aid. He says Morrison’s head was crushed.

“I saw this motorcycle coming on Freetown Road by Atlantic Bank and all I notice that wah vehicle came from behind and just knock the motorcycle. I saw this guy fly off the motorcycle and I see this young lady too that was riding behind the man on the motorcycle, she fly up high ina the sky too.”

“Yeah it’s like almost the height of the fence by Central Assembly Church. To my experience it is first time I see wah incident like that happening. He had on his helmet that really protected his head but at the same time, the helmet got crushed, totally crushed. Only the sponge that the helmet inside have protected his face. And right where he was lying down, a lot of blood too.”

Both victims were rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, but just after midnight, Morrison succumbed to injuries to the back of the head and above the left eye. Sosa sustained abrasions to both hands and a cut wound to the head.
It was first believed that it was a hit and run accident but soon police investigations revealed that the accident was intentional. The driver of the vehicle is the ex-girlfriend and the mother of Morrison’s child, twenty-six year old Atlantic Bank Teller, Calaney Flowers. Flowers allegedly followed Morrison and Sosa and in what appears to be a jealous rage, knocked down the couple; mortally wounding Morrison. Flowers has been detained and is in police custody. Sosa is currently at the K.H.M.H., where she is being treated for injuries including a broken leg.

There’s nothing humorous in this tragedy — a man murdered, a mother facing a long time in prison, and a baby to be raised with no parents.
Lessons to be learned here, too. Women making babies outside marriage is stupid on so many levels — no one to help support the baby, no one to provide a “father figure” that every child needs, and the woman is burdened with a child if she tries to have another serious relationship. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
No smarter for the man — look what happened to this one when he tried to move on and sow more wild oats.
Sex is not sport. It creates lives, and there is no more serious business in the entire human experience.
By the way, as a husband and father, there is no more joyous part of the human experience, either, when a couple goes all the way into a good marriage and parenthood.
What an idiot-now the kid is an orphan-should have let the man go and still have both parents-selfish to think only of her own hurt or embarassed feelings and not that of the kid.

Affairs of the heart can be hard to understand. My sympathies to all involved and to the child now without a father and a mother. On another note, people need to careful of relationships they get involved in and the repercussions that have the potential to bring if they are not totally on the up and up.

I dont condone murder and this woman needs to be charged poor girl I pity her for committing such horrendous act no matter what happens to people in life they should never let the devil rob their soul . She is so young and beautiful I sure she could have found another man out there rather than resort to this

Lets try not to be harsh on this girl,yes she did a horrible thing but being in love sometimes makes u crazy. This is a sad story. All men should take note of this. If you are not in love with a girl and can’t see yourself spending a lifetime with her, don’t sleep with or marry her. A hurt woman is a dangerous woman. Men think sex is a game. I feel for the mother in this story. She let her emotions take over. My husband cheated and left when I was pregnant. I just needed to remind myself the “prison orange was not my color”. To all the ladies out there that are hurt, relax and think about yourself before you let your emotions run wild. If he cheated or left you for her, then it is just a matter of time before he does the same thing to her. Oh and for all the men out there, your kids by different mothers will never like each other and they will more than likely not like you either when they get older and see all that you put their mother’s through. So try to raise all your kids in one loving household.
This makes me sad. Ms Flowers couldn’t accept that the relationship was kaput and allowed her hurt ego to take over which resulted in this tragedy. Cuz if you love a man that way, you could never hurt him this way. Prayers are needed for the survivors and the families involved.
God please forgive her for what she had done.
The saddest part is that the one who will suffer the most now is the baby who has been left parentless with a dead dad and murder for a mother who will be in jail. Now god knows who will mind the child and if the child will even be well taken care off. When the child is old enough to know the truth i really wonder what face this woman will have to tell her son that he is fatherless because she only thought of her selfish self and not of him and murdered his father.
It is amazing that the news reporters, themselves, are quick to report without even doing proper research. No one can ever understand the relationship and the history about Mr. Morrison and Ms. Flowers unless they were there to see it or are now ignorant to the fact bc they are portraying something else. At the end of the day, Mr. Morrison wanted the 2 ladies in his life and it was evident that no1 can have their cake and eat it. Come on ppl. Do your own investigation! Why is it if he was so involve with Sosa,(as being the main chic) is she not on any pictures on Mr. Morrison’s facebook page.. In fact, he recently upload new pics of his “family” on Aug. 24th. from a family vacation that they had RECENTLY took.. Now, it is not difficult to add 1 + 1… And Ms. Sosa can not say that she had just started dating Mr. Morrison just 5mths like she mention today, if in fact she had brought problems into the relationship long b4. Of course Mr. Morrison can not tell his side of the story and Ms. Sosa would never make herself look bad. In addition, she would say that the family knew about her, but who to say that the very family was not encouraging both ladies at the home??? This is a very touchy situation that some ppl can truly relate to and its more than merely skimming off the surface or just listening to what the Belizean population have to say… There are true facts …

This is why we must always work to develop our children’s self esteem. I knew the young man and he did not deserve to die like this.
This situation is very serious. My advice for women is that they should move foward and never look backwards especially if you still that serious love for your partner. It doesn’t make any sense to be in a unhealthy relationship where you will be physically and mentally abused.

I know both of these individuals, Calaney and Lyndon and it is just sad, what the mix of unfaithfulness and rage can cause. I am not agreeing with her choice of actions, but the way he media is spinning this thing, all blame is being laid squarely at her feet. He was a very nice person, it is sad that he has been taken this way from all those he loved and who loved him. But Let God judge Calaney and not us. They were very nice human beings, and this incident is a tragic one. May god be with the baby and protect him and his mother, I know what she did was wrong but in my eyes her only judge should be god. A man should be careful getting in a relationship having a baby and living w them then playing w their emotions ,women can only take so much. People just talk and listen to rumor and dont know exactly what happen!! Calaney was not his Ex indeed. they were still together when this happen. I know Calaney personally and she is a nice an cheerful person. Ms sosa was the one that come between these couple.Mr Morrison decide he want both of the women and look what happened to him. When a innocent woman is in love and you push her to edge this is what happened. In the moment of angry , woman cant control herself and when it happend, then you realized it too late!!!And yes when you look at all Mr Morrison Facebook, you can see both of them are still together! There are not one picture with Sosa. And she is bad luck to man, the first boyfriend she have crushed and died now this happen and the boy died again! She still live!!! Let it be known..FACT Calaney was not the ex! They were still together! He was cheating & Soshyl was just as disrespectful as he was toward Calaney. It cant be justified what she did..but it pisses me off that Sochyl is running her mouth on that flat face of hers making it seem like she was the main woman! No she was causing a lot of problems and he wanted both women and like TORN said not a single picture on Lyndon’s Facebook page had a picture of Sochyl and to reiterate what TORN said,he had just posted those pictures of his family a few days before. I think if the Sosa girl truly loved/loves Lyndon, then she would just call off any so called court issues with Calaney: Why? Well more than likely Lyndon would still loved for the baby mother to give the baby the care he needs. Calaney did wrong yes, but Sochyl just leave the girl alone, and let her raise her baby. Thats something Lyndon would have wanted, even though him and Calaney were having issues, im sure he wouldnt want the baby to be raised without the mother..think about that.
