Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe of China
The Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe of China has been perfecting traditional Chinese acrobatic skills and merging them with modern dance, artistic gymnastics, theatre and other forms. The group has created its own artistic style representing the Guangdong region of southern China and you have the opportunity to experience it for one night only at the Bliss. On Friday night, the Guangzhou troupe, which has won over eighty awards in major competitions, will be putting off what promises to be an exquisite performance to raise funds for a local charity. News Five got the details from the chairman of the Belize Chinese Association, Edmund Quan.
Edmund Quan, Chairman, Belize Chinese Association
“We’re having a group of Chinese acrobats from mainland china and they’re coming in to do a show on Friday night at the Bliss Institute for Charity. The show is going to start at seven-thirty. They’re going to different countries—it’s a collaboration between the Panamanian Chinese Association and the Belize Chinese association.”

“What can people expect from this, I think this is a first for us here?”
Edmund Quan
“Yes, it is. There have been in the past from I think Taiwan but I think this is a first of its kind from Belize. Chinese acrobats, you’ll see different amazing stunts. I’m anxious to see it, I haven’t seen it before. I saw a preview of it and it’s very, very nice.”
Delahnie Bain
“So this is, you said it’s for charity, any particular charity or…”
“Depending on the amount we could raise then we will decide afterwards which charity and make a public announcement on which charity we’re going to donate it to.”
Delahnie Bain
“So where can people get tickets and what’s the cost?”
Edmund Quan
“It’s twenty-five dollars per ticket and you can get it Chon Saan Palace on Kelly Street of Quan’s Trading Center on Orange Street.”
If you don’t get your tickets in advance, you can also buy at the Bliss on the night of the show.
Not bad at all for $25. To see one of the world’s best performing live in front of you is amazing. And to top it off, since this is a charity event, it is definitely a win-win situation for all Belizeans. Two thumps up to the Belize Chinese Association.
Can’t believe no one blaming me for this
