Lightburns detained for suspected cannabis

Tariq Lightburn

The wife and son of well known basketball player, Clinton “Pulu” Lightburn, were arrested on Wednesday on charges of Drug Trafficking. Tariq and Laura Lightburn appeared before Magistrate Dale Cayetano today along with Shawn Hemmans to be arraigned. They all pleaded not guilty to the charge and were granted bail of five thousand dollars. The arrest was made after GSU officers searched Tariq’s house on D Street in the Kings Park area and found two transparent bags containing a brown substance believed to be cannabis in hashish form near the kitchen sink. Since his mother and Hemmans were also present at the time of the search, they too were detained. The trio is to reappear in court on October twenty-fifth.

A warrant in the first instance has been granted for the arrest of Gilroy Reneau, who also lives at the house but wasn’t there at the time of the search.

In another recent search, the GSU found a half pound of weed in an abandoned car in Hattieville on Sunday. The drugs were inside a black bag that was placed in a red container and hidden in the vehicle. No one was in the area at the time and the drug was labeled as found property, but it is believed to have been stashed by a reputed drug peddler who lives in the area.

Thank You GSU. Great Job as usual, keep it up. Keep pressing on criminals and the weed smokers, cuz obviously they are relative to the other. Miister of police, can you please show the statistics of crime where marijuana is related??? Just a thought, cuz you do have statistics, only we never hear of them or see them being put to good use. I won’t ask the Comissioner, cuz he cannot even speak well, so no use asking him about statistics.

Mein !@#$ ya’ll mada!@#$%^…..what I have said or is going to be said contains lewd language–but much warranted–I believe.

The truth is there are hundreds of other worst crimes that occur in our country on a daily basis…

Why the !@#$ would our media, let alone our government !@#$ with marijuana; let alone !@#$ with good people that prefer getting high as opposed to getting drunk.

    Guys… this is bs..

If its GOB’s mission to oust gangs–then !@#$ with gangs.

Belize is small–too small–and its no secret who’s !@#$%^ $#!% up with the coke and heavy drugs of that sort.

These are the entities that need regulations; but yet, ask who’s the ones being regulated? —

The regular people like me and you; people that don’t have !@#$–or people that are perceived to have !@#$.

The ones that jump above the realm of perception and into a sphere of ‘we know for sure that you !@#$%^ got it,’ those are the few that can run rampant and !@#$ our country dry.

So.. using my dead brother’s email..I am letting my voice heard… not because I lack the ….. to speak, but because what I’ve said is a tribute to him and would be–for the most part-his words.
