No charges as yet in fatal traffic accident
Twenty-five year old Shane Dougal was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday evening as headed to work in Ladyville. The security officer was hit near mile six by a Nissan Altima driven by twenty-one year old Jason Castillo. Dougal died on the spot while Castillo was injured, treated and released. The family of Dougal pled on Tuesday night for justice. Castillo is yet to be charged and according to the Director of Public Prosecutions, the file was handed over to her office late this afternoon. It appears that there are persons who may be in a position to assist, but who have indicated they do not wish to cooperate “officially.” We also know that the D.P.P. has given certain instructions to the police and that the position will be assessed when those directions have been followed.
A working man killed, the nation deserves and demands justice.
Per the reports, a man is killed, the driver was drunk. WHY NO CHARGES?
Can’t the police and DPP solve and convict a simple drunk-driving homicide?
Or maybe they are negotiating the price to fumble the case somehow.
I WANT TO SEE JUSTICE THROUGH THE COURTS IN THIS CASE, AS WELL AS THE IAN VEGA MANSLAUGHTER.
You are so right bear. Money changing hands so that evidence can get lost its a total disgrace what’s occurring in this beautiful country of Belize it is being raped and held hostage by this pm and gov. It makes me sick.
