Police say Harth’s broken heart led to suicide

A post mortem has now been completed on the body of forty-four year old Harth Gillett, who died from a single gunshot to the head. The results show that Gillett had a gunshot wound to the right of his head, contrary to what his wife said on Wednesday. They believe that he was murdered, but the post mortem coincides with that police first ruled as a case of suicide. On Tuesday night, a call was made at about five minutes to ten o’clock and police arrived at Gillett’s house on Orange Street in San Ignacio to find him lying near the front door in a pool of blood, gasping for air. A nine millimeter pistol and an expended shell were found on the floor next to him. According to police, Gillett was rushed to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and then transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City, where he died on Wednesday afternoon. Investigators have found out that Gillett went to speak to his common law wife after they had an argument on Monday, but they got into another quarrel that lasted about thirty minutes. Gillett reportedly told her that he would not be able to live without her and that if she wants to leave him, it will be over his dead body. He then went to the front door, and with his back turned, he pulled out his licensed firearm and fired a single shot on his head.

All the stuff about a broken heart comes from the main suspect.
Did anyone check his hands for “gunshot residue” [called GSR]? Whoever fires a pistol ends up with some powder residue on his hand, and it remains there until it is cleaned off. It’s easy to collect and test. If there was no residue on his hand, he did not fire the shot; if there was residue, then I’d say he probably did fire it.
But telling someone he was planning to solve a carjacking doesn’t fit with a suicide less than one hour later.
Until GSR results are shown, I won’t be satisfied that the investigation was thorough.

First they said the dullett went in from the left to the right, now they change and said from right to left, and even so dose not mean that he kill himself cus the individual cud have shot him from the right side…they need to investigate because I no its a murder…he had spoke to his mom and was to go see her the Wednesday he pass….

a phone call made to someone at 9:00pm about information regarding a car jacking evidence to be given to victim. then 55mins later information sources is dead. come on who all knew about the phone call who else was in the house at the time of the phone call. three parties involve in the 55 mins time frame. person who receives the call, person who made the call, and person who was in the house. someone inform someone else about what was going down the next day. come on Belize Law Enforcement. It smells stink, something is very fishy about this entire picture. It just don’t match up. maybe the Doctor was threaten. maybe the girl was threaten.maybe she is involve in making call. who did it their day will come. unjust crime. God never sleeps. RIP HARTH
something is wrong with this picture , only 3 persons knew about the phone call regarding the evidence to be turn over to the victim the next day.the receiver , Harth and the girl in the house. some one in not saying. something stink went down. someone wanted Harth silent, and they did it. I think the girl know. her story sound stupid. maybe she is being threaten. or maybe she is involved. police needs to do better investigation. unfair death, unjust, RIP Harth.
