Breaking News: Late evening murder in Belize City—bullet capital

There is breaking news tonight. About an hour ago, there was a fatal shooting in the Jane Usher Boulevard area of Belize City. Early reports say that two brothers were shot, Andrew and Jordan Usher. The older sibling, twenty-four year old Andrew was shot four times on the upper body and has reportedly died. Eighteen year old Jordan was reportedly shot on the left thigh. Our news team is on the scene and neighbors claim that as many as twenty-one shots were fired. We’ll have more on Tuesday’s newscast.

And fu all you udp lovers am telling you your fellow belizeans keep dying at an alarming rate and you keep supporting this useless incompetent pm a d gov. I would go as far as to say that by now after four years and hundreds and hundreds of murders if you do not get rid of this pm and gov. Then even you are becoming complicit of all these murders think about it. Guan barrow guan resign resign you are useless and a total failure at your job.

  2. John says:

I wonder if we make politicians responsible for the actions of each individual? We need to take responsibility for our actions because we all will be held accountable. Stop blaming politicians and lets take responsibility for our children. Stop passing responsibility to others. Its 9:00 oclock do you know where your children are?

  3. theghost says:

Guan barrow guan resign. And who fi put as PM? oh i got it “ROD for PM”. Don’t you see that every GOB does the same thing. Try find a better solution to the problem Rod.

  4. Reality says:

well said John. blaming the gov for everything is not the solution. If ppl took the responsibility and raised their children the right way, our little Belize would be an even greater paradise to live in.

  5. Al says:

John, we are not making politicians responsible for the actions of murderers. the government is responsible for not revising the law as it pertains to punishment for killing someone, There is little or no consequaences for murder in Belize today.

The responsibility of politicians is to safeguard the people, and that means making laws that support that. Instead this pm made a treaty with the devils and paid them for that treaty. Well guess what, treaties are broken all the time, and htese people broke that one, how stupid could this pm be.

Do not pay criminals for nothing, hang them for murder, imprison them and not cuddle them for breaking the law. Make it harder for Bradley, Samson, and all other lawyers without morals to get these thugs a get out of jail free card.

My people stop accepting just anything, your politicains are treating you the way they think about you. They think you are stupid, lazy and live for handouts. So they keep you down while they get good and rich as you get poorer. Wake up you deserve more, you deserve a chance at a good life for you and your children.

I keep saying take to the streets and make your voices heard, now is the time. You are going backwards instead of forward. Please, please let your voices be heard now!!!!!

  6. Storm says:

Following on to Al’s words, it is said that when you subsidize a behavior, you get more of it. BARROW SUBSIDIZES GANGS.

The result cannot be a surprise.

European socialists may be fine doing away with the death penalty — even the Norwegian who slaughtered over 70 children will be out of prison before his hair turns grey. But they have well-developed police and criminal courts, witnesses are not routinely murdered in their beds, and European “solutions” cannot apply in today’s Belize.

There are about 100 really evil killers in the Jewel who should just be hunted down and killed to secure the nation, whether by BDF, police, or vigilante committees doesn’t matter. Everyone knows the gangsters in their neighborhoods and villages. We are a lawless jungle today, and European solutions are no solutions at all.

    Listen to Al.

  7. marie says:

Right on Al, go back to BZ & run the country the way it should be, EQUALITY & JUSTICE FOR ALL.

  8. BMNJ says:

Ladies & gentlemen, how about Channel 5 doing a morning show on “Open Your Eyes” regarding the proposal in bringing back the capital punishment?
Guests to be invited are Dean Barrow, David Fonseca, Said Musa, and Senate members. Put them on the spot. We want to hear how they feel and how eager and interested they are about the reintroduction of capital punishment, the desired timeline and deadline as to when it’s going to be reintroduced, etc. Basically, I just want to get an idea, base on their response and attitude, whether or not the reintroduction of capital punishment is going to take effect or rather it’s just wishful thinking by the Belizean public.

  9. Rod says:

Al you give me some hope or Belize wow someone who actually get it how refreshing.

  10. rod says:

  11. Sharah says:

  12. Belizean says:

I think ROD is in “LOVE” with barrow or somethin’ ..

  13. Storm says:

BMNJ, all those “notables” work for us!

I don’t mind putting them on the spot, but in the end, I don’t care what they want, they are elected to do what WE want.

However, I would be interested in hearing the views of Jasmine Lowe’s father, and the other families of murder victims, about how to punish killers and protect the rest of us. And I’d like to hear from the officers who last arrested Arthur Gentle as to how to protect us.

  14. Swag says:

The government pays them because they want the votes the next time around. They are playing politics with innocent hard working Belizeans’ lives.A criminal is always hungry for more money , what will they do when they stop getting that check from Dean. They will come after us to make it up.It is sad that we allow then to take advantage of us like that. Most people are used to handouts and don’t care enough to stand up for what is right. This is our country.
