Disturbing rapes in the south

There is disturbing news tonight that four women were allegedly raped in Belmopan and Punta Gorda. In the two incidents down south, the victims claim they were unconscious when they were sexually abused. First, a thirty-five year old Hopeville resident reported that on September twenty-first she agreed to accompany mechanic, John Matura, to check on a friend who was involved in an accident, but on the way he gave her something to drink and she passed out. She woke up the following morning and realized she had been raped and robbed. The second victim is a fourteen year girl, who says she passed out at around one o’clock on Saturday morning while socializing with two male friends. She woke up without her underwear and realized she had been raped. Police say it has been confirmed that the minor had been carnally known.

“We had a rape reported by a fourteen year old female where she said that on the twenty-second of September she was at the Venancia Petillo Park on Front Street in Punta Gorda in the company of Augustino Shal and two other male persons. She said that around one a.m., she lost consciousness and when she arrived home, she realized that she did not have on her tights nor underwear and believes that she was sexually assaulted. The minor was taken to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital where a doctor certified that she was recently carnally known and we continue to investigate this and we are looking for Augustino Shal who we believe can shed some light into this investigation for us. We had another rape reported by a thirty-five year old female; this is in Hopeville Area also in Toledo. She is saying that on the twenty-first of September about eight p.m., she went to Matura Mechanic Shop to sell bread. About ten minutes later she left the mechanic shop along with John Matura en route to Scotia Bank. However, she is saying that whilst on her way, she agreed to go with him to Forest Home to his friends who were involved in an accident because Matura is a mechanic. She is saying that whilst on the way, she was given some water by Matura which caused her to get dizzy and she passed out. On the twenty-second September about eleven-thirty a.m., she is saying that she woke up a realize that she was involved in sexual intercourse of course and she was informed by one Keiron Molina that she was taken there to her house by one Mex Castro and she was completely naked at the time.”
