Bikes, clothing stolen from sports store

Story PictureAnother Belize City businessman wasn’t as lucky as Sanchez after a robbery at his store early Saturday morning. According to Barney Brown, sometime after midnight that day thieves broke into Total Sports located at the corner of Hydes Lane and New Road and stole several thousand dollars worth of items. Subsequent police investigations have revealed that the thieves gained access into the building by breaking a burglar bar and removing the window panes. Since the incident Brown has helped to catch two of the burglars but most of his merchandize has yet to be recovered.

Barney Brown
“The only thing I have recovered so far is a compressor that I use to pump the bikes.”

The police are now looking for one suspect who goes by the name of Dominique.
