Taylor beats weapon charge, but murder charge still waits
The notorious Brandon Taylor is currently on remand for murder, but today he beat charges for a separate incident. Taylor was charged along with Curlan Phillips and Devany Myers for Keeping a Firearm and Ammunition without License. The trial against the three men began on September twenty-fifth before Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer and ended in an acquittal today when Firearms Examiner, Orlando Vera failed to show up to testify. Vera was to provide evidence that the nine millimeter pistol and five rounds of ammunition police claim the trio was busted with on September twenty-eighth, were in working condition. But in his absence, the prosecutor was forced to close his case, falling short of proving the charges. Philips and Myers were freed while Taylor remains on remand at the Belize Central Prison.

Vera should be fired. What was more important than going to court to testify against a dangerous criminal?
Hon. John Saldivar needs to put the hammer down on lazy and corrupt police employees to make an example to encourage the others.
