Ellis Meighan charged for Attempted Murder of Y.F.F. Employee

A Youth For the Future employee, thirty year old Delone Vernon was shot just before six a.m. last Friday while on his way to work. According to reports, as Vernon reached the corner of Ebony Street and Magazine Road, two men—one known to him as Ellis Meighan—approached and fired several shots at him; hitting him to the lower abdomen, left lower back and right upper leg. Police responded thereafter to the scene where up to eight expended shells and one slug were recovered from the scene. Vernon was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition. At the weekly police press conference, Police Press Officer, Raphael Martinez, says that twenty year old Ellis Meighan of Banak Street in Belize City has since been charged for the crimes of Attempt Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Grievous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm.

“He was observed with apparent gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen, lower left back and right upper leg. Mister Vernon reported that approximately 5:50 in the morning, he was walking along Ebony Street en route to work and upon nearing the intersection with Magazine Road and Ebony Street, he observed two male persons—one of them he recognized as he has known him for several years and another dark skin unidentified male person. They approached him and the person who he knew reportedly gave the unknown person the gun and this person fired several shots at Vernon hitting him. Police have since detained, arrested and charged Ellis Meighan in connection with the incident—twenty years old of a Belize City address—with the crimes of Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Grievous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm.”
While Meighan faces charges for shooting Vernon, he was also the target of a gunman last week. Today, Jeon Peebles was charged with Attempted Murder of Meighan and seventeen year old Malik Dixon who were fired upon while inside a vehicle on Mopan Street last Wednesday. Meighan escaped unharmed, but when Peebles appeared before Aretha Ford, he was additionally charged with Use of Deadly Means of Harm, Dangerous Harm and Grievous Harm for injuries caused to Dixon. He has been remanded until December sixth.
Let all these would-be murderers die in [prison, in kill each other there. JUST GET THEM OFF THE STREETS PERMANENTLY, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Why not offer their killing services to go to Syria and fight the war on terror over there. If they like to kill cerainly there is enough Alkiada for them to satisfy themselves with. Maybe even put them in the forest and let BDF hunt them. I never thought I would ever think this way, and I sure do not like how these lawless people are making us who are against their murderous behavior think in such ugly ways as to how we can rid society of them.
Please Mr PM, do something that benefits the majority of people who are the law abiding people and keep us a little safer from these thugs, stop paying them and enforce the law.
