4 minors arrested for murder of Emerito Itza

Four minors have detained by San Pedro police in connection with the murder of forty-five year old Emerito Itza. Itza died just before four on Tuesday morning at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was brutally beaten last Wednesday night in San Pedro. The Succotz resident was working at Coco Beach Resort on the island and it is reported that a group of men with stones and sticks beat him to a pulp. Despite his severe head injuries, he was released from the San Pedro Polyclinic. Itza was found unconscious inside his room the following day by police officers, but by then was brain dead. He was taken to the K.H.M.H. where he passed away on Tuesday.
Our juvenile criminal laws are far out of date. They were intended for a time when minors stole candy, not bashed men’s brains out with lumber. These murderers should be treated the same as adults. If convicted, they deserve to die in prison; it will be an injustice if they ever get released to see another day of freedom in the Jewel.
I forgot to add a “well done” to the police for a quick resolution — assuming they did a solid job that results in convictions.
Sue the doctor! !!. Who is going to mantain his children now?. Its very sad to see things like this. Life is nothing to them.
Where are the names of these people being held why don’t we have their pictures lets see the accused murderers if they are found guilty hang them high and along with hem the incompetent doctor should be hung along with them.
Diagosis epidural hematoma. He was examined during lucid state. Recommended action after head injuries: observe for 24 hours. Even so, without cat scan, would have been difficult to “see” that guy was bleeding.

These minors will get away because they have influencial families. Justice will not happen in this case. My sympathies to the family for thier loss
please! there will be no convictions…the minors will get away cause its San Pedro you are talking about and there people prefer to turn a blind eye than to ruin the reputation and another sad thing…the murdered victim is not a San Pedrano…so the people of San Pedro will care less…the way i say it sounds harsh but its the cruel reality of the island! a damn shame…they should be tried in court and sent to jail where they belong…
San Pedro used to be a nice little paradise, just 5 or so years ago. But I don’t feel safe going there today, especially after the sun sets. Criminals on every block, and police rarely to be seen. Tourists and I can find other nicer places to go now, it is up to the San Pedro community to clean up the garbage they now live among.
They all will get away, they just have to call the chief of police
These young thugs need to be charged as adults. They have committed an adult crime, so they should pay the consequences.
Itza has passed away and still the family is waiting for justice to be done.
Its a pity how a crime like this can be left under investigation nothing will be done im sure of that! maybe the police from san pedro should stop beating there wives and stop drinking and start doing their job! Great father!! This man was a drug addict and a thief,, he also almost stabbed his wife to death. Not saying that what they did to him is right but the world is round. Still this doesn’t take away the fact these boys should be hang
There is so much being said against 4 minors who actually were atttached first by three adult males. The boys were on their way home via the beach in the early evening after consoleing their friend who had just lost his father in the dive tank accident. One of the boys does not have a father because he is dead. He died in an accident inside the reef. These boys were sad and not of the mind set to look for someone else to harm. They were on they way home and were chased by the adult males. It is very sad to think that there are so many people that think 3 adult males could not stop 4 minor boys from harming one adult male. Where is the common sense here. It is also so very sad that one horrible accident that left one man dead leads to his son now having to deal with what his friends are going through just because they came to console him. People do not make the mistake of thinking that there were no witnesses that actually saw the man fall off of the bike he was riding and hit his head on the rocks on the ground where he landed. Yes, the boys were running, they were trying to get away from the ones that were chasing them. I do believe that the toxicolligy report will show that the man who died was drunk and the fall from his bicycle was the cause of his death not from being hit with a stone or a stick. Let all of the evidence come forth and do not decide guilt before all of the facts are known. You may not know these minor boys and you need to stop the horrible comments when you do not know the facts and all who were involved. Yes, it is sad that the man died but it would be even sadder the have a mistreatment of justice based solely on opinions of those who were not there and are not whitnesses.
