Woman won’t face murder charge for death of husband
A domestic dispute three years ago ended fatally for twenty-six year old security guard, Albert Maverick Morgan, who was stabbed to death by his wife, Audrey Morgan. Since July sixteenth, Audrey has been the subject of a coroner’s inquest in the Magistrate’s Court to determine whether she will face charges for Albert’s murder. Today, a jury of three deliberated for a little over an hour and decided that charges would not be brought against her. During the inquest, Audrey testified about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband and what led to the fatal stabbing. She recounted that shortly after two a.m. on December twenty-second, 2009 Albert arrived at their house intoxicated and started beating her. She claims he began to choke her, lifting her off the ground and that’s when she grabbed a butcher’s knife from the television stand and stabbed him once to the chest. He released her and stumbled to the front door where he collapsed. Pathologist, Dr. Hugh Sanchez, found that stab wound went four inches deep.
God knows what happened, and eventually we cannot escape His perfect justice.
