Thieves were on the loose on Monday preying on more unsuspecting persons. The first reported robbery took place at about six-forty-five in the morning when Lellia Senticum was walking on Kut Avenue. Senticum says she was approached by a man wearing a yellow rain coat and riding a bicycle. The assailant demanded that she hand over what she had in her purse. Since she feared for her life she gave up her cellular phone. Also on Monday, Peter Issaka, a security guard was attacked by three men. Issaka was riding his beach cruiser bicycle on Amara Avenue when he was attacked in the area of Grace Primary School. Issaka says he spotted a man leaning on the wall of the school. He slowed down and that is when the man grabbed him causing him to fall from his bike. Another assailant hiding at the school compound came at him with an object resembling a piece of stick and hit him on the left leg. As Issaka struggled with the two men a third assailant ran out of the School compound and pointed a gun at him demanding he hand over his properties. He was soon relieved of a phone, wallet with personal documents, bank and insurance cards. One of the men took possession of bicycle and rode off toward Cemetery Road, while the other headed back to Grace Primary.

GSU has been reprimanded so many times, hence the reason for all this craziness. Let the team do their job. I guess Belizeans prefer to read these stories as opposed to practice safety. Some are probaby the same ones that’s complaining that the GSU is too harsh. Yeah…well…tough love brings order, It’s a big mess in Belize right now. It’s pure ridiculousness and people are feeling the brunt.
