Man accused of sexually abusing minor not an ordained minister
On Friday, the Baptist Association released information on Julio Cesar Garcia who had been posing as a pastor in Frank’s Eddy Village and has been charged with the carnal knowledge of an eleven year old school girl. The Association says that Garcia is not the pastor of Frank’s Eddy; neither is he a registered pastor with the association, but only a member of a Baptist Church in Belize City. It was a most unusual turn of events because the residents of the village attest that he had been on the pulpit for months and had been introduced to the congregation by Pastor, Oscar Aguilar. But how could the Honduran national become so entwined with the Baptist Church in the village? We spoke today to Pastor Aguilar who explained the timeline of how Garcia ended up ministering at the church.
Oscar Aguilar, Baptist Pastor, Frank’s Eddy Village
“Well he come to we church. I see him and he was doing good in our church and he go with me to Frank’s Eddy because I used to go two times to Frank’s Eddy in a week. So I go to preach there and he go with me. And we come back. But I had a mission to go to El Salvador in July and I left him at the church. When I left him at the church and I come back in August, I asked the church people, how did Mister Garcia do? And they said he did good. So I left him to do it. I left him in July when I was going so when I come back in August he’s still continue until this time. He come last year around May and he give we good testimony in the church that’s why we left him.”

“When it comes to the Baptist Church, how is it that he ended up. These persons were saying that he was the pastor of the church. Is he a pastor ordained with the Baptist Church, the Baptist Association?”
Oscar Aguilar
“No he is not a pastor; he is just a member from our church in Belize. We noh give the pastor one time. We have to look at his work and what he do; after then we do. Well right now we have a meeting this Thursday in the church to see what the members want to do about the church. I want to see who will be the leader in Frank’s Eddy this Thursday. I going to get a meeting with the church people.”
Aguilar says that he will now resume preaching at the church. As for Garcia, he is behind bars since last Wednesday for the carnal knowledge of the eleven year old school girl with whom he is alleged to have had sexual contact with on two occasions, including once in the church.

Looks like Garcia’s mission at that church is finished. By flunking his training, his official ordination is off.
But he will start a new mission and a get new flock at Prison University in Hattiville.
So he can continue his training, serving his new boyfriends on his knees, and being ordained by them nightly.
It seems Pastor Aguilar was extremely negligent in his duty — entrusting the work of God to a man he knew so little about. I suspect Pastor Aguilar is just too lazy to be responsible for a church of his own. It’s a heavy burden to pastor a church and represent God and Christ, and it is too heavy for Aguilar. His judgment was so extremely poor, I don’t know how he can rehabilitate himself.
We must keep in mind that the result of his dereliction was one or more innocent children were sexually assaulted. He has some responsibility for making that possible.
If he wasn’t a Pastor, who was preaching and why will there be a replacement?
I agree with you somewhat Storm. My question is , “How did Pastor Aguilar make the decision to leave Garcia in charge of the church with out contacting the Association?” He should be held accountable to that. I am sure that he has remorse for his poor judgement and I hope that others learn from it. Sue him and make a lesson out of this incident as that child and her family will be scarred for life.
Sad situation. i agree with both Storm & Eda. this is ridiculous. you need to go through procedures before you are able to be behind a Pulpit. Mr. Aguilar surely bares some responsibility. really poor judgement on his part. Pathetic, all kinds of bozos come to Bze and in short times they attain positions, which Bzeans have to work hard for.
Hmm…..These pastors of today! They are quick to judge the world when they are doing worst than the people of the world!
I say if he is found guilty he should be hung the neck until dead
The thing is that the church wants to distance its self from this as the family has a very good law suit against Garcia, and if he indeed worked for the church visa-vie suit against the church its self. Suing Garcia would not work as you can not get blood from a stone where as the church has the money to pay out if the law suit was successful.
The BA is again failing us…trying to distance themselves from the molester and the victim. I believe they should be taken to court and am willing to be and interested party to this case…..like they have been with the UNIBAM issue. Kudos to the mother who has looked Satan in the face and now have him exposed…i suppose the church will do all it can to demonize the poor lady.
i think ,that whit GOD u dont play and this julio garcia had tuch fire if the laws dont take care of him GOD will.
