Poll shows majority support for new crime measures
Crime continues to be a major concern for citizens. Last week we asked if the public supported the new anti-crime measures that would allow police to search houses without warrants. More than half of those who voted, fifty-five percent, support the anti-crime strategy while forty-five percent said no. Turning to tonight’s question: For transparency, should the hearings of the Public Accounts Committee be open to the public? In a democracy, the government AND THE MONEY belong to the people. It cannot be constitutionally possible to exclude them from watching how THEIR EMPLOYEES handle the treasury!
