Patrick Faber versus Gaspar Vega for U.D.P. Party Leader

The Prime Minister also touched on his party’s internal politics. Minister of Education Patrick Faber will reportedly be mounting a challenge against the Deputy Prime Minister, Gaspar Vega. Faber wants to unseat Vega as deputy party leader. Under Vega’s watch, the U.D.P. stronghold in the north was severely diminished in the last general elections. Prime Minister Dean Barrow says the U.D.P. can deal with any fallout.

“I don’t expect any rift; I don’t know that the—people don’t have to put in their nominations or their applications to contest positions until maybe a month or so before the convention. And I don’t know that any official application has been received. There is as you say certainly a suggestion—it might be perhaps more than a suggestion—that there will be a challenge. If there is, that is democracy—that is the way we in the U.D.P. do it. And while we know that any contested convention will have its fall out, I believe that our history, our track record, our culture are all such that we can deal with that sort of thing.”
The convention takes place in February next year.
Two big thief the only question is who is the biggest thief vega or faber.

This spells trouble for the UDP
Because everyone knows Faber will never win this and he tends to behave like a girl when he doesn’t get his way!
I heard him dissing Dean Samuels the other day on WAVE radio because Samuels was campaigning for Gapi in Punta Gorda!
If i was apart of the UDP i would definately give my vote to Gaspar Vega
Not UDP nor PUP. Between them the Jewel has been devastated in such a short time. We went down the wrong path after independence, and I hope we can get on a better one toward the dream that we had. It’s a sin to leave the nation to our children in a worse condition than it was when we received it, but together we have done that.
give Gapi the leadership and watch him squander land and more Rosewood from Toledo. Give Patrick the leadership and watch more young women fall prey. De Nu Ready!

back in the day the udp had a good party, they stood for something , now deh gone from grace to grass now looking at going to maddar$$s.patirck or gapi will be like changing black dog fu monkey.

@Bzn, one way you steal land with the stamp of a crooked justice of the peace. Sadly, land title in the Jewel is not too secure, since a minister or a crooked employee in the Lands office can change the papers for a price. I think almost every Belizean knows someone who has lost property through phony paperwork.
faber has my vote im an educator and I believe that he HAS ASSISTED as much of us as possible and to the BEST OF HIS ABILITY. FACE IT PEOPLE AN EDUCATION CAN NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY BUT A PIECE OF LAND CAN!!!
Mr. Vega is the best man out of the two and he will win!
