McDonalds Canada looking to recruit Belizean workers
Unemployment figures are not looking too healthy so the following report will be good news for the jobless. Canada is looking to hire Belizeans. A report in the Wall Street Journal says that Actyle Group, a Saskatchewan-based recruitment firm, is looking for one hundred English-speaking “young adults” with skills in the hospitality industry to join McDonald’s Canada. And if you are lucky to be recruited, the jobs could “lead to eventual Canadian citizenship and workforce advancement,” according Actyle. And for successful candidates, McDonald’s Canada will also assist with relocation expenses. A McDonald’s Canada representative said several of its independent franchise owners in western Canada are behind the recruitment drive looking for front-line workers and restaurant managers. Actyle said it’s also seeking welders, ironworkers, heavy-duty mechanics, fabricators, machinists and commercial steel framers to fill vacancies in Western Canada. So if you are interested, get ready because interview sessions are to be held at the Radisson Hotel in Belize City in December.
Uno com see wan long line !!!
great opportunitty!!
I find this disgusting. If Belizeans want to improve their lives, they should be entrepreneurial and find some way to do it in Belize instead of submitting to the easy way out that is emigration.
This is great & Canada has one of the best health care programmes in the world.
I concur with you Vuk
but look at the big page, here in Belize we can’t prosper (entrepreneur) due to political vendetta everywhere, if you open a business and you’re not from such leading party you’re some how obligated to close down either by force or somehow. so instead of having our youths wandering doing mischief it’s better they go abroad, work for a living and maybe if they comeback they can bring their skills for a better Belize but most of our youths have never been in a industry plant to say. So I see it as a great opportunity for many students who have reach high school or six form and can’t reach university due to lack of finance can enroll on this chance and later save some money to continue their studies in university, wouldn’t it be great for them.
wow, another way to drain Belize of its talented resources. doesnt it seem like all the educated and talented leave Belize and stay in other countries? Our most qualified for lawyers and ministers and economists and educators leave Belize and now we outsource our welders and machinists to canada?
sheesh..
The GOB isn’t doing anything for the people, Kudos to the Canadians.
I say if Belize don’t have anything for our youths to do let them go, instead of hanging around killing each other. This might be a way to save our young people, since this gob don’t seems to want to save them. I know some of them don’t want to leave our shores but, the Belizean dream is dead at the moment. I know people get tired of hearing older belizeans talk about the earlier days in Belize but, those were peaceful and wonderful day. Thanks again, let them go to a better live and good health care you can’t get in Belize if you do not have money.
look at the real situation in bze guys, oppurtunities are very limited and as for holding on to your job(if you have one) well that’s another story on its own. it’s ridiculously hard to be be successfull in bze….i’ve seen it first hand….the option to better-off ones self should always be an option…period
ok, if canandian really wants to help belizean. why, don’t they open business in bze so the youth can work. the way they’re doing it is OPENING DOORS TO CRIMINALS BELIZEAN IMMIGRANTS TO THEIR COUNTRY & USA.
i do blve wat vuk but look on it like this….. yes we have talent but are we doing with it just sitting around waiting for something to happen n govenment is not making it happen, so…. if soneone from abroad see what talent we have n can use it rather than just waitn for something to happen then what choice we have jump on it… it will benefit us n if we have kids even better…..
Does any one know what are the requirements.
Uhmmmmmm I’m sure the Canadians will screen people so It’s not likely that they will employ Criminals….come on…lets not be so ridiculous and negative. Give people a chance.
Go Canada help our youth, this strategy will be beneficial to both your country and mine…. Why? in Belize we have hard working and educated youths waiting for a job. I am quiet positive that they will be an asset for you due to their talents and eagerness to work and succeed. Please share the interview dates and requirements as soon as possible to have everyone preparing their stuff to set out on a new adventure and ventures…Thanks!
its a great oppotunity and am looking forward to know what is required
does anyone know if they have already selected all the 100 people and if people of 40 years can be recruited
