He wasn’t preaching to the choir, but a fifty-one year old Deacon traded in his pulpit for the witness stand. Michael Davis practices at the Crooked Tree Adventist Church but the Deacon allegedly committed a sin that could land him in prison.   An eighteen year old woman is alleging that on November thirteenth, she was sleeping at her house in Crooked Tree when Davis touched her inappropriately on her private parts. On Tuesday November twentieth, Davis’ niece said she would pay his bail for the aggravated assault charge.  However, it is alleged that Davis said he would flee the country once he was released.  So on Wednesday, his niece told the court she wanted the bail revoked and it was. Davis was remanded to the prison until today, when bail was offered once again under the conditions that he would surrender all his travel documents. Davis who pleaded not guilty to the charge is due back in court on January twenty-ninth, 2013.
