Rasheed Woods also freed of murder charge

Rasheed Woods

In the Belize City Supreme Court, Rasheed Woods was set free of murder when his case concluded in nolle prosequi because witnesses could not be located. Woods was charged back in July of 2009 for the murder of nineteen year-old Steven Anthony Grant, aka “Eggie”. Woods was told he was free to go for now and that should there be evidence against him, the charge can be levied against him again.  Woods now joins twenty-four old Shain Louriano who was also freed of the charge in August 2010 due to lack of evidence. On July ninth, 2009, Grant was in the North Creek area when a blue vehicle drove up and a hail of bullets was unleashed from inside. Grant was hit several times, including once in the head and died instantly. He had just returned to the North Creek area, a couple blocks from his residence where he became engaged in a struggle with his assailant who shot him in the head.

Was this outcome just? There is still a murderer walking the streets. Hopefully he will die there.

I cannot imagine how DPP can lose witnesses in cases, and do it on such a reliable basis.

  2. DEAN B. says:

It’s basically telling Rasheed if He wants to Keep His freedom He needs to go eliminate his witnesses or else the charge can be levied against him AGAIN.. 🙂
    Good one Supreme Court..!!!!

I am sure the leaders of other countries are looking at Belize and shaking their heads in disbelief. I am so sad for my people, they are under seige and the bad guys have the rule over them. Postpone Christmas and walk the streets in prayer vigil, only God can take this satanic spirit from over this country.
