Mexican national charged for drugs and plenty arsenal

Zurisday Villasenor Mendez

In Corozal this morning, Mexican national Zurisday Villasenor  Mendez appeared briefly in the Magistrate’s Court for keeping prohibited firearm and ammunition, unlicensed firearm, drug trafficking and possession of controlled drugs. Villansenor was charged following a bust at the Las Vegas Casino in November. The case was called up today and quickly adjourned to December nineteenth. Armed and masked police surrounded the court and the Cayo Magistrate was deployed transferred for the case. The bust yielded an arsenal of high powered weapons including AK-47 rifles, ammunition, drugs, radio and communication devices. Villasenor was in one of two rooms at the casino when the bust took place. In his room police reportedly found two pistols and ammunition, suspected cocaine and cannabis, assorted communication devices, cell phones, a mask and other items. In the other room, the search yielded food supplies, liquor, documents and luggage.  In the casino parking lot, four vehicles were confiscated: a Mazda car, a Chevrolet double cab pickup truck, and an F-two-fifty double cab; all with no license plates. The fourth vehicle is another Ford pick-up truck, which carried Chetumal license plates. When that pickup truck was searched, police found a cache of high powered weapons, including two AK-47 Riffles with magazine and live rounds, a Cherokee nine millimeter pistol with live rounds, a Colt Super pistol and an assortment of ammo behind the passenger seat. The search extended elsewhere in the casino where more firearms were found. In a garbage bin, police found another Colt Super Automatic Pistol and ammunition. While Villasenor Mendez was the only one charged, it is believed that others eluded the police. the adjournment of the case was requested by the D.P.P. and Villasenor is being represented by attorneys Dickie Bradley and Arthur Saldivar.

  1. Alexia says:

Its a pity the search was not coordinated.
By the time the search officially began, the real guys and merchandise had already moved.

That guy was ordered to take the fall so the police will be happy and slow on any further real investigation.

He is a decoy. A small fish.
