Cecil Castillo’s homemade gun in prison

Cecil Castillo

On Friday, twenty-seven year-old Cecil Castillo, better known as Sadiki, was found guilty of attempting to assemble a makeshift firearm whilst on remand at the Belize Central Prison.  Castillo was discovered with the weapon in his possession inside a holding cell by a warden on duty.  Despite arguing that he was coerced by his fellow inmates into admitting ownership of the handgun, Castillo was found guilty.  Earlier today, Castillo, who is currently on remand for murder, was sentenced to two years in prison.  The repeat offender, has overcome two separate charges of attempted murder and is currently awaiting another verdict for possession of a firearm.

  1. Storm says:

Too dangerous, and maybe too crazy, to walk on the streets.

  2. Seletar says:

I heard a description of his “gun” elsewhere, and it sounded like it might be more dangerous to him than to anyone else. He should have been forced to test it; if he survived, then book him.

We’ll be better off when he dies in prison.
