Meanwhile, in Mullins River a fight for the affection of a female relative got bloody when two cousins decided to settle the argument with a machete. According to Dangriga police, thirty-three year old Troy Benard and his cousin Carlton Benard both like the same woman, who just happens to be their cousin. Things got dirty around eight on Thursday night when Troy and Carlton started to fight. During the scuffle, Troy says Carlton grabbed a machete and chopped him in the upper part of his left harm leaving him with a deep chop wound. The bleeding man was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital and later transferred to the K.H.M.H. Police would only say that their investigations so far has been “interesting”.
