New Year and Old Resolutions

At the start of a new year, the general public often times make goals they wish to accomplish over the next twelve months. And while many may have achieved their resolution, there is the few that may not have kept their plans. So this year, we decided to add a twist when we hit the streets to get all the things the New Year will bring for residents. News Five’s Duane Moody also asked them about their failed resolutions.

“My New Year resolution, I didn’t receive anything. But this year resolution, I’d like three wishes. I’d like everybody in this resolution to make a purpose—it is always good to make a purpose for the New Year.”

“What’s your new year’s resolution for this year?”

“Just to continue be a good person and fi work harder.”

“You know most people would set one and don’t make it. last year what was your resolution and did you achieve it?”

“Last year I didn’t make any resolution because I thought it wasn’t making any sense. But this time I will set one that I could attain. Be a good person. It is easy to be a good person and save a little.”

“Do all the good that I can do in the places I can do it as many times I can do it and make sure at the same time that there is a no ICJ successful campaign. And that Belize stays secure and intact and no offshore drilling.”

“Any New Year’s resolution this year?”

“No I noh have any New Year resolution. I just want make 2013 a lee bit better for at least my kids.”

“Did you have one last year and did you achieve it?”

“Last year I started off by doing something for the community. I started being a volunteer firefighter but I didn’t complete it. So maybe I go back to that this year as well.”

“Yes I did. At my job, I was supposed to complete a promotion and I did so.”
