Judge gives Horse’s wife bail for attempted suppression of evidence
On December twenty-seventh an entire family was charged and remanded to prison on charges related to the murder of nineteen year old Raheem Requeña. The well known Jermaine “Horse” Garnett and his stepson Kenneth Barrow were charged with murder while his wife, Pamela Garnett and her son Mark Vernon were charged for Attempted Suppression of Evidence. It is alleged that Pamela and Vernon attempted to pay off a witness, Marie Alvarez, to stop her from testifying in the murder trial and that when she refused, her life was threatened. But tonight, Pamela is no longer behind bars after she successfully applied for bail at the Supreme Court. She returns to court on January eleventh along with Vernon while Horse and Barrow will return on January thirtieth.

…and people wonder why things aren’t getting any better in “The Jewel”.
isn’t the first time belize has heard of witnesses being coerced not to testify. and even police officers, for the right price, will not show up to court.
im glad this witness stood up and decided to help fight gaainst crime. if we show fear, we will never get these criminals behind bars.
good job!
Mrs cow is out? I mean, mrs horse. Cant belive crap like these is out. Whats going on are people to scared of the cow I mean the horse?

Or should i ask who looks worse lol ?
@ BAD
you will have to go to the ICJ to determine that one
LOL @ not again, BAD & Bmp man…uno chancey, can’t u guys see the horse & the cow love each other unconditionally. The sex must be like moooooooooooooheheheeheheh, what God has brought together let no animal split apart.
“me”, yes, congrats to the witness for standing up. But while she puts herself on the line, the Court itself shows that this is not an offence to be treated seriously. Bribe a witness, threaten a witness, and in just a few days you can be out as though you have done nothing. I think it is shameful. It is no wonder that everybody sees the criminal justice system as a joke. No wonder either that nobody wants to co-operate by going to court and so many cases fall apart as a result. When the judiciary gets serious, maybe people will.
@ BAD and deedee lmao
You’re right, Pimpernel. We seek it here, we seek it there, but justice is elusive in the Jewel,
Many thanks to a witness with the strength to help bring justice in this case. Now the burden is on the police and DPP to win convictions. Then, ideally, the rope for the killers.
