Cop and accused both claim to be the victim

Mickalee Williams

Twenty-eight year old, Mickalee Williams, a car washer of Belize City, appeared in Court before Magistrate Hettie-Mae Stewart where he was charged with one count of aggravated assault and harm upon a police officer. But Willaims told the court that he was in fact the victim of police brutality. The alleged incident occurred on Thursday. During the trial, Williams asked the court’s permission to speak in regards to the bruises on his body. He said that police officers approached him saying they had a warrant for his arrest because he owes the court. He claimed that they took him to an area where he was physically assaulted while they interrogated him in regards to a gun.  Magistrate Stewart advised both Williams and his mother who was present, to make an official report on his claim. Williams pleaded not guilty to both charges and was offered bail in the sum of one thousand dollars which he was able to meet. He is due back in court on March twenty-fifth.

I hope there is a full and impartial investigation, and a just result. Anything is possible these days.

Why is it that the mothers of this scumbags are always putting their faces and good names to defend them?

Do they feel guilty because they know they failed as parents? Or is it simply economics, meaning that they benefit from the crimes these guys perpetuate?

My brother, you may have a point but on the flipside a mother loves their child no matter what and will put out their faces no matter what the circumstances may be… it’s not always good to stereotype..
