Cane field fire and smoke causes 3 car pile up

An accident occurred on the Philip Goldson Highway on Thursday evening at approximately six p.m. It was caused by a fire from a cane field which spread to the overgrown shrubbery on the side of the highway. The smoke became so thick that our news team in the area had to slow down. That’s when it became apparent that an accident involving three vehicles occurred in the thick smoke. A pick-up truck going north on the highway abruptly slowed down and a small car violently crashed into it. The vehicle was totaled and the driver of the vehicle, who is seen in black clothing, was injured on his back. And in the cover of the smoke, a third pickup hit the car in the rear. Only the small car received extensive damage. The driver said he would seek medical attention. All the drivers, who did not wish to speak on camera, said their vehicles were licensed and insured. The men, who set the cane field fire, quickly put out the flames that had spread to the roadside.

  1. Storm says:

The workers who burned the field with the wind in the wrong direction have some explaining to do, in my opinion, as well as the owner of the cane.
