Gardenia villager charged with carnal knowledge

But a mechanic of Gardenia Village is spending his first night behind bars for Carnal Knowledge. Twenty-two year old Marlon Dawson appeared today before Magistrate Dale Cayetano where he was charged with one count of the offense. The alleged crime occurred on the fourteenth of December 2012 but was only reported last Friday. A minor is alleging that Dawson had sexual intercourse with her while at a house in the village. The thirteen year old girl has since been examined by a doctor who has confirmed that she is carnally known. Dawson is due back in Court on March twenty-eight 2013.
We need to continuously conduct public education that the age of sexual consent is sixteen. The days of when you could hurry marry the girl if you are caught having sex with an underage girl are done. Mothers also need to know that they cannot pimp out their daughters either. Our children need protection and i am glad that the system seems to help.

This young man is pathetically dumb, to commit such a serious crime because he can’t control his urges. Maybe he’ll learn better in prison. A WARNING TO THE REST OF THE YOUNG BELIZEANS.
Young men and girls need to find something more useful to do than to sleep with each other and make babies and spread diseases. The young girl here could get pregnant and cripple her life before she is old enough to make a mature decision on such a big subject.
In the 80’s I worked with a group helping the refugee camps in Costa Rica and Honduras, during the civil war in Nicaragua. There was a HUGE problem with epidemic pregnancies among young girls, as well as venereal disease — until the camps got baseball fields (it was for Nicaraguans, remember, and they love baseball) and television with VHS and movie projectors (before the day of DVDs). When the young people had other recreation, the pregnancy problem plummeted.
Yes, it’s a sad commentary on people who just have mindless intercourse because they are bored, but it’s a true story.
