New administration for Bar Association
The Bar Association met in Tuesday night in Belize City; elections for a new executive committee took place. Senior Counsel Eamon Courtenay was elected as the Bar’s new president to succeed Andrew Marshalleck. Courtenay will be at the helm for the next twelve months; a period to be characterized by intense public debate over the October sixth referendum. Also elected were Nigel Banks as Vice President, Aldo Reyes, Secretary, Edwin Flowers, Treasurer and Committee members are Denys Barrow, Jacqueline Marshalleck and Melissa Balderamos Mahler.
I would loved to see new blood there, instead of the same grey eminences rotating chairs. We need new leadership almost everywhere.
