Guatemalan farmer given 5 more years for ammunition found on his person
A Guatemalan farmer, who is serving five years at the Belize Central Prison, will have an additional five years to contemplate the error of his ways. Twenty-four year old inmate, David Lopez, was being escorted from the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court to prison when a routine search was conducted on him. Police say they found Lopez in possession of seven rounds of twenty-five caliber ammunition wrapped in a piece of green cloth inside a bag. Today, Lopez appeared in Belize City Magistrate’s Court, where he was read a single charge of keeping ammunition without a gun license. He did not waste any time in pleading guilty, telling Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith that he was forced by a man to bring the cartridges with him. That plea didn’t help his case, and he will now have to serve ten years at the Belize Central Prison.
DAILY JOBS DONE BY GUATEMALANS, BUT THIS GOV CARES SO LITTLE, IN FACT THIS IS A TIP OF THE ICE BURG !!!
This case really makes the case for why we need to throw out Kolbe and get professional, experienced wardens to run our prison. Who was bribed to let live ammunition into the prison? What gun INSIDE THE PRISON was it intended for?
Does anyone in GOB care in the slightest about the cesspool of incompetence and corruption that poses as our premiere prison facility?
