Not dead, but Lionel Ramos badly beaten

Earlier today, there was information circulating of a murder on the streets of the Old Capital. And while we can say that there was no life lost to the street violence, a man was severely beaten and left for dead on the street. Lionel Ramos was found lying on a boardwalk behind a house on Tibruce Street in the Lake Independence Area of Belize City. He was discovered after eight this morning by residents in the immediate area and authorities were called in. Ramos according to one resident was visibly badly beaten and he ended up with injuries to his face and hands. Ramos was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he has since been receiving treatment in the Emergency Ward. News Five spoke to a resident who assisted Ramos.
