Domestic squabble ends with elephant foot over the head

Sherla Adolphus

Thirty-six year old Sherla Adolphus, a domestic of Crooked Tree Village, and her former common law husband, forty-two year old Dean Dawson of Sandhill Village, appeared in magistrate’s court today where they were charged individually for their role in a domestic dispute.  Dawson was arraigned on four counts, including aggravated assault and harm upon his common law wife.  Adolphus was also charged with four counts, as well as aggravated assault upon Theresita Abraham.

Dean Dawson

On April twenty-fifth, Abraham reportedly visited a shop in Gardenia Village where she noticed that her common law husband Dean Dawson was hiding from her.  She then followed him to a nearby vehicle where an argument ensued.  According to Abraham, Dawson’s former wife approached her with an elephant foot bottle and hit her over the head with it.  Adolphus then attacked Brandon Dawson, the couple’s son, with the rum bottle.  In court both pleaded not guilty to the offenses.  Bail was set at two thousand dollars each, plus one surety of the same amount, which they were unable to meet by noon.  They are scheduled to return to court on July third.
