Michael “Crazy” Arnold locked up until 2023 for rape

Michael “Crazy” Arnold

Repeat offender Michael “Crazy” Arnold was charged for raping a twenty-nine year old woman back in September 2010.  At the time, Arnold pleaded not guilty. But today, he went back to court and changed his plea to guilty so as not to waste the court’s time. Arnold called no witnesses, but asked the court for leniency requesting that his sentence run currently to a ten year-old jail time he is already serving. The victim claimed she knew him one month prior to the incident when he asked her to his apartment.   According to the woman, she declined but Arnold pulled out a firearm, placed it on her head and forced her into his bedroom. The victim claimed that she begged him to use a condom which he did when he raped her.  This afternoon, Arnold picked up his second conviction for rape and was sentenced to fifteen years.  Before handing down the sentence, Justice Adolph Lucas told Arnold that under the law, a person upon conviction is liable to life imprisonment if he has two or more convictions for the same type of offense.   Arnold has a previous conviction for rape in which he was sentenced to twelve years in May 2011.  He also has as many as twenty other convictions including forcible abduction. Arnold was going to be eligible for his earliest release from prison in 2023 but another fifteen years has been added to his prison term with today’s sentencing.

Yes now guys in jail beat him to death. But do it slowly so hw can suffer, just like his victims did.

  2. UNIBAM DESTROYER says:

AT LAST WE HAVE ONE CONVICTION!!!!

  3. Storm says:

HE’S A LIVING ARGUMENT FOR A THREE STRIKES LAW. With 20 c0nvictions, and many crimes never solved, and an average 3% conviction rate, statistically speaking he committed about 600 crimes!

With three strikes, on the third conviction for a serious crime, you are locked up for life. Period, no exceptions.

Would you like to see a “3 strikes law” in Belize? I would! Let’s see some law and order politician introduce such a law in the Assembly.

Instead of life, because of the lie of the “concurrent sentence,” this predator will only serve 5 years for raping a woman while using a gun and machete! HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED ON THE SPOT!
