  1. Gerald Underwood says:

How about decriminalizing of bigamy the law was there before all these ……. were. Born why change it for certain people nasty behavior

  2. Louisville,Ky says:

No way. Doing so would only sink the country into a lower state of debauchery. It would be sending the wrong signal to those that are already struggling with other moral issues.

  3. Raduel says:

I do not support decreminalizing of sodomy. This issue will create a lot of confusion to our society, At its very roots it would threaten our very own way of life. What we teach our children as right and wrong. This should not be tolerated.

  4. Cheryl Stirm says:

    I vote NO

  5. Lianne Awe says:

I do not support the decriminalization of homosexuality.
Romans1:27- 28 Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…
Likewise men leaving natural use of woman burned with their lust for one another, men committing what is shameful and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
vs 32 ..those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

  6. Devon says:

No I do not support it. Homosexuals are some of the nastiest and vile people you will ever meet.

  7. Devon says:

Why the hell should we decriminalize sodomy just for the sake of a bunch of excited homosexuals. This just opens the door for sexual predators to have their way with the young boys of this society. Their eyes must have lit up when they heard about this preposterous idea!

  8. Boots says:

No to this stupid act. If a man also lie with mankind as with a women, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death;their blood shall be upon them.Lev 20:13

  9. Christine Vellos says:

NO. Sodomy is dangerous and unhealthy. It is goes against nature and is disordered on many levels. Homosexuals need healing not lies from the rest of us that what they are doing is right. Changing the law would mean that we are affirming behaviour that is destructive to the homosexuals and to society. Changing the law would be a horrendous mistake with far reaching negative ramifications for Belize.

  10. Kay says:

NO WAY!!! This perversion is a sure key to open doors to other despicable behaviour by ANY individual that will try to claim their rights are being infringed upon….the prostitutes then can “run their business” in the name of ‘human rights’! The drug dealer can then go to court claiming their ‘human right’ to survive is being suppressed. If this is decriminalized it will be like opening Pandora’s Box!!!! Human rights is another way to describe Sodom and Gomorrah!!!!

  11. Val Nal says:

15 attorneys! Caleb represented by 15 attorneys yet there is no hidden agenda. We have maniacs out there attacking our Belizean children yet not one attorney is doing a pro-bono to help our children. The children are the minority in our country. Why are they attacking our constitution when they are already doing as they pleased in the various night clubs in Bz Cty and Orange Walk and Benque yet not one homosexual have been arrested for the past decade! Let us preserve the little Belizean way of life that we have. We have already copied too much nonsense from “developed” countries. We are a developing country and we should walk the path not travelled yet.

  12. Storm says:

Sodomy is not a human right, it is a human WRONG.

Around the world radicals are trying to normalize homosexuality, abortions on demand, teach our children that any form of sex is great, and attack the family on which successful civilization has been based since the dawn of humanity. They want to replace the Ten Commandments with their own article of faith, “If it feels good, do it!”

Our country is small, but it is ours. This foreign intervention in our nation is an important battle in the war between good and evil — and it is essential that good Belizeans win this battle for the sake our our children and future generations. We don’t need foreigners to try to impose the immorality they accept, and lead us down the road to hell with them.

  13. enio lopez says:

No! I don’t want to support immorality.

  14. Melba says:

    I Don’t support it!

  15. Antonio says:

    NO to the homosexual agenda

  16. Sick to my stomach says:

HELL NO!!!!!!! These sick …… need to get it into their sick minds that the majority of Belizeans will not stand for this. The morals and standards of this country are already on the brink of destruction for us to be condoning this sick behavior. If these creatures so want to live this lifestyle let them go live in those countries that have legalized this disgusting way of life.

  17. Mad&Frustrated says:

How about you continue the sentence with what is actually being asked.. its not just the decriminalization of sodomy… It is decriminalizing the act of sodomy BETWEEN CONSENTING ADULTS! It’s really a shame to see that the media is taking a biased approach to this situation. You have one simple job which is to inform to!! Not MISINFORM AND MISCONSTRUE information.

  18. Joe says:

    I Don’t Support homosexuality

  19. Shel says:

The truth is the truth and cannot be changed to fit the wants of certain people! The truth must guide the straight and the gay!! No to homosexuality!!!

  20. Bam says:

    NO!! I don’t support homosexuality.

  21. Kevin says:

Say no to drugs, say no to the Guatemalan claim and definitely say no to decriminalization of sodomy. It is just wrong and goes against the true nature of a human being. Be fruitful and multiply cause GOD made Adam and Eve. He didn’t make Adam for Steve or Adam for orozco. Be a man….

  22. walter says:

While they may say they just want their rights to live their lifestyle, what they are not saying is that eventually everyone will be sued or persecuted who will not agree with them. So no way do we want sodomy legalized!!!! That wa bring fi we country down de drain!!!

  23. Bill says:

Homosexuality is disgusting. Putting your private part in a waste can, filled with bacteria, and deseases, no wonder average homosexual’s life span is only in late forties.

  24. Gideon says:

I do not support homosexual lifestyle.

  25. Francisca says:

This country has been declared for Jesus, our children and generations to come have been created with purpose “to serve the living and Powerful God with their lives”

I call on the power of the blood of Jesus and the power of the word of God to destroy all the works of their father the devil and frustrate all of their plans. I declare that all plans of the enemy against this nation and its people are uprooted in the name of Jesus Christ.
I declare confusion in the kingdom of darkness.

The devil is defeated and will remain soooooooo. for ever
the blood of Jesus covers this nation and its people

THE BATTLE IS NOT OURS IS THE LORD’S

AND HE “”””” NNEEVER LOSE A CASE” HE IS THE LAWYER BY EXCELLENCE

I pray for wisdom for the lawyers and judges that they will not allow the lust for money to take over their integrity .
THINK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE GENERATION AND THE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR FINAL Decision.

  26. Joe says:

  29. vilma says:

Where is the money coming from to pay 15 attorneys? This seems bigger than the right to be a homosexual.

  30. Jonathan says:

No I do not support legalizing sodomy because the anus is for expelling of human waste not for the inserting of the penis or other sexual objects for pleasure. Doing this is unhealthy and causes the wearing away of the lining around the anus. From a spiritual point of view it is perversion. If we are God fearing as a nation, one would think we would want our Creators favor and Blessing over our nation. When hurricane Mitch was staring us in the eyes, all Belizeans got on their knees and prayed, even on all TV stations. Radio stations that usually played secular music stopped and started playing praise and worship music. It was the hand of our God that spared this nation. Now we as Belizeans dare to now say what we do in the dark is noone’s business, we dare to say we should put our stamp of approval on this act as if God doesn’t watch us and as if God is asleep. Have lost our cotton pickin minds? We say we are smart and rational beings, but now we have reached a point where we are leaning on human reasoning and now the wisdom that is from heaven. Come on people get your act together.

  31. Morally Conscious says:

I do believe that we should decriminalize sodomy. I can firmly say that I contribute more to the solidly good moral fiber of this country and continue to make better citizens of the Belizean community by living by example and living the basic teachings of Christianity. The wording in some of these comments just goes to show that many people (including Belizeans) really don’t understand what Christianity is all about. One needs to think beyond the rhetoric about who Jesus was. What would he have done? I see spewing of hatred and anger at something these people don’t understand and think is foreign. I am sure that you all know people who are gay and many are outstanding citizens that you admire and look up to. But they cannot come out and say that because of homophobia and ignorance. I am glad to say that the vast majority of Belizeans I know are very accepting except for the very loud and vocal opposition that seek the cameras and microphones. God made me a certain way and believe that God would want me to live happily. I did not choose this. If you think this was a choice, tell me when you chose to be straight. And why would I choose to be someone constantly mocked and ridiculed by you? (I am speaking to the homophobes) The church is not saying one should not be gay, but should not act on it. As an exercise I want you, the heterosexuals, to consider the possibility that you are forced to not act on it. God made you straight, but you have to be abstinent. That is an artificial construct of the men in charge who understand sexual relations even less than you. Unfortunately for me, I have to live with the ignorance of what it really means to be Christian and the resulting homophobia. In a last bid to bring understanding: It is not your position to bring judgement on anyone. That is the role of God. All you do by mistreating me is curse yourself in God’s eyes. I will face God with a clean heart and mind.

  32. Bubba says:

    The question is manipulative.
The real question is do we support human rights, not whether it should be illegal for a certain part of the body to be used in a certain way by consenting parties.
So the answer is a resounding yes.
The world didn’t end when women got the vote nor did it end when slavery was abolished, even though there were passionate (and the occasional seemingly well reasoned) arguments against both.
There’s a lot of wisdom in the Bible and there are many, many prohibitions that we do not adhere to in 2013.
    Why choose Leviticus 20:13?
    Fear.

  33. IzahGad says:

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bun fiya pon dem!! Jah wa deal with them pon judgement day!! they man haffi get grip a dem self and stop di push laws fi then kinda f***ry because Belize have so much fi deal with.. dam it with human rights. no one care who they sexin, who battam they di tek!! str8 NO fi dat! but then agen we can say NO but the system so corrupted i expect anything!

  34. Andre says:

I do not support this kind of behavior. In the beginning when God created man he said for this reason a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife and the two shall be one flesh. It did not say man joining with man.(matt 19:5). In addition, homosexuality is a detestable act an abomination before God.(Lev 18:22) and there is no place for homosexuals in the kingdom of heaven.(1 Corint 6:9-10). We are a very small nation and the biblical principles should always be part of our constititution and way of life.If we tolerate this hideous abdominable act we as a country will face the wrath of God.God said in his word that he hates homosexuality. We should always strive to uphold the moral fabric of biblical principle if we expect to strive as a nation.

  35. FAIR JUSTICE says:

I personally don’t accept homosexuality, but i love them regardless, it is not our duty to judge anyone. What i don’t like is the lifestyle. If my son would come to me an tell me he is a homosexual, i will not love him any less. I dislike his choice. But what can i do, i will continue to pray for him. The devil is working hard to disintegrate our God fearing nation. We must fight will all the might that God gave us to sustain our laws the way it is. The bible states that in the last days men will b lovers of themselves. And these things must come to past, because the bible has to be fulfilled. God love us no matter how disobedient and sinful we are. But God is a God of mercy. He doesn’t want his children to be lost.

  44. Mike says:

No, I DO NOT support it! God’s word is final authority and it’s what God-fearing Christians live by or should. God’s word reveals what He thinks of the SIN of homosexuality and no where in Scripture does He condone it. It’s worst than sin… it’s an ABOMINATION to Him. The meaning of abomination; a thing that causes disgust or hatred. A feeling of hatred.” The reason God hates it is because it’s a perversion of God’s original plan and purpose for men and women relations. Even nature reveals that!
