Cop arraigned for wounding woman

A cop was arraigned in courtroom of Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith this morning for Wounding a teacher. The incident happened in Hattieville on April twenty fifth when family and friends were holding a repast for the late Mark McKoy, one of three men who were fatally injured in a traffic accident at Mile Six on the George Price Highway. The teacher reported the incident fourteen days ago but the arraignment took place today. The cop, who is now on interdiction, is Darrell “Tutsi” Usher. There was no objection, so Usher got police bail and was ordered to report to the Belmopan Police Station every Monday and to stay away from the complainant. The teacher claims that Usher punched her in the face and kicked her on the stomach and that she had to get medical attention. But she believes that Usher acted in haste because he thought she had spoken badly about him earlier in the day.

Another cop on interdiction. Do you know that there are over 50 police officers on interdiction right now? And some on full pay. The Professional Standards Branch (formerly IAD) is in disarray and nonfunctional. The Independent Complaints Commission (an oversight review committee to be made up of civilians) has never gotten off the ground even though the PM and his Restore Belize initiative promissed this. For all practical purposes, the Belize Police Department is without leadership, professionalism, accountability, and definitely does not have the faith of the people. Without a properly functioning law enforcement agency to protect law abiding citizen . . . we are screwed!

This ROGUE COP has been implicated in many corrupt and abusive miss deeds over the years just google his name. most of it conneected to monicas pawn shop which he acts a a repo man and used his authority as a police man to abuse, intimidate and victimize regular folks. he likes to send threatening text msg via annonymous web based means and shows up at people houses and work places at any hours. somthing must be done about him before he kills again. perhaps he should lave the police force and go work for monicas pawn shop full time. ombuds mon, IAD take not. wont be the last time we will hear about him.
