And while taking issue with homosexuals who want to have their cake and eat it too, Pastor Louis Wade took issue with our online poll which is an unscientific measure of public opinion. The question this week was ‘Do you support the decriminalization of sodomy,’ and the response has been overwhelming; at news time over thirty-two thousand votes were registered. But Wade says he has evidence that Caleb Orozco and the homosexual community have found some way to manipulate the poll in their favor. But representatives for Orozco levied the very same accusation against Wade and the Church.

As we told you our online polling has been lighting up recording the highest number of votes on any issue. The response has been overwhelming with both sides seeking support. The results have been neck and neck and at other times, the margin has been very slim between the votes for or against the decriminalization of sodomy.
there is no way a true poll on the decriminalization of sodomy would show “neck and neck.” Not in Belize by Belizean voters! the polling is flawed. yesterday’s results show that poll participants are fudging the numbers thru computer savvy. and a lot of heteros are voting “yes” when they mean no because of the way the question was put by Ch5, using the hifalutin world “decriminalization.” A lot of them think decriminalize mean criminalize just like in the 70s when drivers on the road thought inflammable meant not flammable and so the industry had to remove the former from use.
Highest poll ever….wade is shown that his chest beating is not for everyone, scientific or not, numbers speak and they spoke loudly against his bigotry.
Must say that the channel 5 website isn’t safe because I can on the otherside of the world and vote. Let this be a Belizean thing. You want votes, go out there and have people put papers in boxes. It would be ‘Stupidity to the next level’ if any body uses this poll to judge
The poll is not accurate. They were plotting on social media quite openly on how to use different devices (your laptop plus your phone) to cheat the system! Puh-lease polls mean nothing. It’s like saying the contestant that gets the most text votes on a talent show is the best singer. Hell NO. Question is, if either side is so righteous and sure of their position why the need to resort to “cheating” and sneaky ways to beat a poll?? Not so sure of themselves maybe? Hahaaa! Let the soap opera continue……………..

It’s obvious from the numbers of votes that both sides are manipulating the poll.
Also this poll is not about homosexuality, it’s about a sex act.
A sex act that according to some reports about 44% of straight men, and 36% of straight women participate in.

The faithful vs. the Gay? Ridiculous. I am faithful to God and I voted to decriminalize. I belive that we are all Gods people. Its not God vs. Gays. It people who vote no and people who vote yes. All the hate against homosexuals has got to stop.
“Gay rights” will start to grow like a cancer.. embracing homosexuality is taking a bold stand against what God condemn, the act of homosexuality.
This is not about human rights, no one can loose their right to be human, and it’s not about love for humanity. NO ONE loves us more than God, yet God condemns homosexuality with complete disgust and hatred. Dice it, Chop it, dissect it, flip it, deny it, whatever you do, you can’t change the truth, and it is not relative, the truth won’t change if you don’t believe it.

@Tanya, I disagree. The morals of our nation are being destroyed, but it’s by immorality, little girls getting pregnant by men they don’t know, who don’t love them, and cannot and will not support them. That perpetuates poverty, and virtual slavery.
The family is under attack from many directions, television, movies, modern music, the influence of USA and Europe, drugs and drug money. The one institution that generally does not threaten the family are churches [yes, I know there are immoral preachers, but they are the exception], and sadly, churches in the Jewel are stagnant and lazy.
Where is our Dr. Martin Luther King? Where is our Desmond Tutu? We lack what we desperately need, a righteous Christian leader who will mobilize the people to meet social and political issues and start to fight the cancer that is killing our country. I’d be happy to have a foreign preacher come to mobilize us like that, because the message is the same if it comes from the Word of God.
I see that over 50,000 votes for Unibam in poll. Are there actually 50,000 gays in Belize? Does this not show the dishonesty and hypocrisy of this whole poll and movement?
@Storm, how wonderful that you ask “Where is our Desmond Tutu”. Rev. Tutu has stated publicly that he does not support criminalization of homosexuality or any other form of discrimination against homosexuals. Where is our Desmond Tutu indeed. Our religious leaders could learn a lot about love from that great man.

I’ve been spamming the poll by more than 10,000 votes – for NO of course. I’ve seen times when within 10 seconds, the vote for Yes jumps by 300 votes. The poll is TOTAL NON-SENSE.
