Life-celebrating in More Tomorrow Village. Day

Daud Robinson

The village of More Tomorrow isn’t in our news that often, but with all the history attached to it, maybe it should be. It is one of the oldest villages in the country, and this weekend will be celebrating an especially important milestone. Today C.E.O. of the More Tomorrow Farmer’s Group Daud Robinson visited our studios to extend an invitation to all Belizeans to head west this weekend for a dose of history, culture and some of the finest cuisine in the nation.

“More Tomorrow is located approximately forty miles west of Belize City; right on Belize’s old Belize river. As you get over the beaver dam bridge, you turn left and five miles in the village.   I’m here to promote the two hundred and twentieth anniversary of the village of More Tomorrow. It is one of the olderst village in the country of Belize. And every year, we celebrate over our anniversary, we have a great day back there in terms of horse race etc. And we also have football, basketball, volleyball and cycling. So we have beautiful beach other there; lot of wildlife. But apart from that you will be able to enjoy back there is some of the best Creole in Belize and some of the best and fresh fruit and vegetables that we grow here in the country of Belize. So come on out this weekend, Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th of May commemorating the two hundred and twenty-eight of the founding of More Tomorrow. But for the record, historically it was all slave settlement and Mayan was the land gage that. Historically it was all throughout our time, we’ve had green appall.

So if you have time, head out to More Tomorrow for a treat of history and culture.

I’ll see you there Sunday! We need to remember our roots, where we came from, so we can stay on a good course, and not get distracted by temporary problems of today. And it sounds like it will be a fun time!
